to Horse Racing Than Just 
Betting!

 NEW YORK (May 15, 2013) 
– The Breeders’ Cup announced 
today that Christine 
A. Moore, of Christine A. 
Moore Millinery, New York, 
one of the world’s leading 
headwear designers, has been 
named the official milliner 
of the Breeders’ Cup World 
Championships.

 

The Breeders’ Cup, Thoroughbred 
racing’s most prestigious 
year-ending international 
event, consisting of 14 races 
and purses and awards totaling 
$27 million, will be held on 
Friday, November 1 and Saturday, 
November 2 at Santa Anita 
Park in Arcadia, Calif. The $5 
million Breeders’ Cup Classic, 
which will be shown live and in 
primetime on NBC, culminates 
two outstanding days of great 
racing and Hollywood glamour 
under the picturesque San Gabriel 
Mountains.

 

The Christine A. Moore Millinery 
Silks Collection will be 
featured in the Breeders’ Cup 
Store (www.breederscupshop.
com) and at Santa Anita Park 
over the Championships weekend 
as well as at the official 
Breeders’ Cup host hotels in the 
Los Angeles area.

 

The collection will include a 
new “SILKS” line that will give 
owners and fans of Breeders’ 
Cup horses the opportunity to 
order in advance a wide variety 
of stylish headwear to match 
the colors of their horse’s racing 
silks.

Sports Camp is held at 
Dana Middle School and 
offers three weeks starting 
August 5 to August 23. 
Weeks one and three are 
for youth ages 11-15 and 
week two is for youth ages 
6-10. 

This camp utilizes the 
Dana Gym and features a 
variety of fun sports activities 
for youth including 
swimming, flag football, 
basketball, softball, soccer, 
volleyball and other fun 
group games. 

Each week there is an excursion 
and three swim 
days. 

Sports camp is $110 per 
week. Residents can register 
on line by going to 
the city’s website at www.
ci.arcadia.ca.us. Walk-in 
registration for everyone 
begins Monday, May 13.

Nick Budincich of Sierra Madre competed in the discus final at the PAC-12 Track and Field 
Championships. On his final attempt he hurled the 2kg discus to a lifetime best of 171'9" to 
earn a point for Stanford University in team competition on the USC campus on Sunday May 
12. Nick is a freshman at Stanford and prepped at Loyola High school and High Point Academy 
Pasadena. Budincich hopes this mark will qualify for the NCAA regional finals in Austin, Texas 
later this month, where his sister Andja Budincich attends Southwestern University.
