REMEMBRANCE
TIFFANY
JEAN
WARNER
Sierra Madre lost one
of our most colorful
residents this week.
Tiffany Warner
died in her sleep
Wednesday, March 27.
She was 42 years old.
If you didn’t have the
pleasure of knowing
her personally, you’ve
surely seen Tiffany
around town and at
Beantown, where
she often went in the
afternoons to read or
do her puzzle books.
She loved it when
people said hi or had a
conversation with her. You couldn’t miss her in her bright-colored
clothes, often tye dyed, and pretty blue eyes. When she smiled, her
whole face lit up.
I first met Tiffany in 1995 through her mother Char, who was my
classmate. Tiffany was singing in the choir of our church, and
she and I hit it right off. We remained buddies over the years, and
especially enjoyed trick-or-treating every Halloween. She loved
to introduce me as her “big sister Kelly” and I’ve thought of her
and her family as my own.
Tiffany loved to read and was curiously interested in early
American history. She enjoyed the summer concerts in the park,
and would dance freely right up by the stage. Like some of us she
didn’t seem to suffer from self-consciousness.
I feel grateful for having known Tiffany. She taught me many
things about love and patience. I will miss our time together. It
will be hard to walk by Beantown everyday and not look for her
through the window. Her family is grateful for the kindness Sierra
Madre residents have shown Tiffany all these years.
Services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11 am at the
Episcopal Church of The Ascension, 25 E. Laurel Ave., Sierra
Madre
All Tiffany’s friends are welcome.
Submitted by, Kelly Taaffe, resident of Sierra Madre for 38 years.
