The observant stroller of Sierra Madre’s streets may have noticed
a marked increase of crows taking up residence in our foothill
village over the last few weeks. These black-winged harbingers
of autumn have invaded our town, and as citizens we are called
upon to defend and protect our homes, businesses and institutions
with …….. scarecrows!

See them for yourself. The Scarecrows will be on display
throughout Sierra Madre from September 28th through the end of
October. They will then be judged by a team of scarecrow experts
from the city of Sierra Madre as well as by anyone who wants to
vote online via Facebook for the People’s Choice Award!

 Go to http://www.creativeartsgroup.org/scarecrow-festival/ to
get the full story.

By the way, the birds above have stopped for a rest at Belle’s Nest 55
N. Baldwin in Sierra Madre. Get a close up look at them before they
take off and go to work.
