ON “FIRE FROM THE SKY”

Kiwanis International

Jimmy Weldon one of itsmembers. Jimmy has had
a long career as a voice
actor (Yacky Doodle,
Webster Webfoot) and asa motivational speaker.
But his newest focus in
on teaching young peoplethe great history of our
country. Jimmy was
among the US contingent
to liberate Buchenwald
prison during World War

II. He has found in his
travels that many youngpeople don’t know – ordon’t believe – the historyof our country, so he hasmade a point of sharing
our history through a
series of programs – and
through his non-profit
– CFYP – Center for
Youth Patriotism. The mission of CFYP is “To instill in California youtha sense of civic, non-partisan pride and a better understanding of ourcommon heritage, through the use of audio/visual programs and personalpresentations”. THE REEL DEAL:

TERMINATOR GENISYS REVIEW
There has been a wave of “remakes and
reboots” of classic movie and TV series in
recent years. ‘Star Trek’, ‘Jurassic Park’, and‘Star Wars’, just to name a few; however, mostof them have been received well by both critics
and audiences. Can ‘Genisys’ continuein the footsteps of the first two ‘Terminator’films, or has it fallen too much in quality?

John Connor (Jason Clarke) has discovered
a way to stop Judgement Day from happening:
by sending Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney)
back in time to save his mother, Sarah Connor
(Emilia Clarke. When sent back in time,
though, the timeline that John thought ex

isted has been erased, and a new, much more terrifying one must befaced in order for Skynet to finally be eradicated.

‘Genisys’ really has one fatal flaw: it makes all of the movies
in this series that came before it totally pointless. Much like ‘StarTrek’ in 2009, which successfully reset the franchise, ‘Genisys’ attempts
to pull off a similar feat, but with far less success. The endresult makes the bad CGI effects feel even worse and, once you’ve
realized that the original’s have been torn to shreds by this poorlywritten, sloppily put together hodge-lodge of ideas, the film is almostunwatchable.
