VOLUME 13 NO. 35 CONGRESSWOMAN JUDY CHU OPENS SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COMMUNITY BASED OUTPATIENT VETERANS HEALTH CLINIC The dedication of the VA San Gabriel Valley Community Based Outpatient Clinic at 7 W. Foothill Blvd., Arcadia occurred on August 22, 2019. The facility will serve the 45,000+ Veterans in the San Gabriel Valley. This has been a 7 year effort of hard work and never giving up by Congresswoman Chu. With the support of her constituents including members of Sierra Madre's VFW 3208, Chu made the hopes and dream of thousands of San Gabriel Valley Veterans come true. Chu has always been concerned about our men and women of the armed forces who have sacrificed so much and yet have been over looked. A few years ago, she was aghast that a Korean Veteran had NEVER received his medals, so she held a special ceremony in her Pasadena office, had the Medals mounted in a frame, and also presented him with a folded American Flag in the triangular glass case. The clinic hours are from 8 a,m, to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Appointments can be made by calling 1-877-251-7295.
