COUNCIL TO MEET ON ELECTION NIGHT WITH ALVERNO HEIGHTS ON THE AGENDA Alverno Heights Academy, Lower School is a Catholic, independent school for girls and boys in grades TK-8 dedicated to preparing our students to function in a society as informed, knowledgeable persons, who have the requisite skills to make and implement mature decisions about complex problems in a global society. Neighbors concerned with noise and traffic levels have appealed the Conditional Use Permit issued by the Planning Commission and the matter will be discussed at Tuesday;s council meeting. BEE CAREFUL SMFD and SMPD responded last week to reports of bees swarming in the intersection of Sierra Madre Boulevard and North Hermosa, in front of Memorial Park. Several people were stung and treated at the scene. It is common to see bees swarming in the spring, they are looking for a new home. Please exercise caution over the next few hours if you will be traveling in this area, especially for our community members with allergies to bees.
