Rosemead Blvd. The two black bears – a mom and cub - must have seen our recent email alert and just wanted to make sure our office would do a fair representation of both sides of the issue at our bear safety event Thurs, Oct. 23rd at 7pm at the Monrovia Public Library. “I was shocked, but not surprised that bears were combing through the trash,” said Assemblymember Holden. “Working with the Monrovia Police Department and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife I have organized a public safety forum to discuss safety measures when living near wildlife. Find out what to do when you find a bear in your backyard and how to bear-proof your property.
