ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

 

The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Sierra Madre Volunteer 
Firefighters’ Association will be held on Saturday, March 26, 
2016. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10:00AM sharp in Memorial 
Park (222 West Sierra Madre Blvd). All participants are encouraged 
to arrive early. Due to the number of participants, those who are driving 
to the event should plan to walk roughly a block or more from 
their car.

HUCK FINN WEEKEND: FISHING 
DERBY AND FAMILY FISHING

Come cast your fishing lines at the Sierra Madre Holding Basins and 
enjoy some family fun!

FISHING DERBY

Saturday, April 9

Time: 7:00AM – 11:30AM

On-site registration is $12 per youth 

Open to participants 3-15 years of age

Certificates and trophies awarded to participants who catch the 
heaviest fish

Fly fishing demonstrations from the Pasadena Casting Club

Food provided by the Kiwanis Club available for purchase

FAMILY FISHING

Saturday, April 9 12:30PM – 4:00PM

Sunday, April 10 7:00AM – 1:00PM

$22 for a family of four (separate admission required for each day)

Open to participants of all ages

No catch limit

Experienced fishing guides will be on hand to assist throughout the 
entire weekend.

 Payments are accepted on the day of the event at the entrance located 
next to Dapper Field in Sierra Vista Park. For more information

1630 AM EMERGENCY RADIO & 

Free on-air publicity for local events

 Sierra Madre’s EMERGENCY radio station is now accepting scripts for 
Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about community events. PSAs 
will be broadcast on the air at no charge. The station operates 24/7 and 
can be heard at 1630 on the AM dial.

 Any local non-profit or non-commercial organization can have their 
event information broadcast to the public on Sierra Madre Community 
Information Radio. The station covers the city of Sierra Madre, plus 
surrounding areas of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. 

Your event must:

• Benefit a non-commercial or non-profit entity
• Be open to the public
• Be of general interest to local citizens


Just 
write a Public Service Announcement that describes your event and 
e-mail it to radio@cityofsierramadre.com.

COUNCIL MEETING

Please note the April 12th City Council meeting is cancelled 
due to the election. The next Council meeting is April 26th

 6:30 pm. The final agenda and staff reports will available 
online no later than Friday night. Enter the date 
“00/00/0000” for the complete agenda packet.

 Can’t make it to the meeting, but still want to share your 
thoughts? You can mail or drop off a written statement 
to City Hall or email city@cityofsierramadre.com before 
5:30 the night of the meeting and your statement will be 
delivered to all the Council Members.
