THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME OUT TO SUPPORT OUR PANCAKE BREAKFAST! IN REMEMBERANCE LITTLE BOY . Sometime Wed. night, an amazing cat passed away. I found him laying in the grass early Thur. morning. There were no signs of trauma. I suspect his organs gave out. This amazing cat was known by several names; Lovey, Little Boy, Oreo. He was, in his prime, a handsome Tuxedo cat. He was well known to those in what I call central Sierra Madre; the area between SM Blvd and Orange Grove and from East to West, between Baldwin and Lima. Maybe further, I don’t know. He was a free spirit for about 18 years. He graced me and several of my neighbors with his presence lounging in our yards and enjoying the morsels we all felt compelled to feed him. Sleeping in beds and shelters we provided him to protect against the weather. I say he was amazing as he smart and tough and survived outdoors despite all the dangers of cars, coyotes, dogs, etc. for his 18 years. However, if you have a cat, please, please keep them indoors as the majority will not avoid the horrible, painful death by Coyote for very long. We all hear it every night. It is my hope that Lovey, Little Boy, Oreo is continuing his free- spirited life in kitty/dog Heaven. Please say hello to my beloved departed cats and dogs. Rest in peace Lovey.
