YOUR CITY COUNCIL AT WORK: MAYOR APPOINTS VOTING
DELEGATES AND LIAISONS TO REPRESENT SIERRA MADRE By Kevin McGuire

On Tuesday, January 9, the City Council
approved liaisons and voting delegates
ready to serve on boards, commissions, and
associations. Voting delegates to the San
Gabriel Valley Council of Governments,
League of California Cities, and the Southern
California Associations of Governments
were approved during the first City Council
meeting of the New Year.

These appointments are necessary to allow the
City Council to have mutual communication
with various commissions, boards, and
associations to make sure the Sierra Madre
community is represented in regional public
policy talks.

Responsibilities for these liaisons/delegates
will include attending meetings of these
various groups and communicating the
discussions and any actions taken during
the assemblies back to the City Council.
Alternative liaisons were also appointed.

All appointments are for one year and are
traditionally approved by the mayor. This
year, the honor goes to the new mayor of
Sierra Madre, Kelly Kriebs. And here are the
liaisons/delegates.

Appointments of delegates for the San Gabriel
Valley Council of Governments, League of
California Cities, and the Southern California
Associations of Governments required
approvement through Resolutions 24-06,
24-07, and 24-8, respectfully. All received
unanimous approval.
