FORECAST: RAIN, RAIN, AND
MORE RAIN

The National Weather Service is forecasting a second storm will be hitting
our region beginning this Sunday, February 4 that may last through next
Wednesday, February 7.

Take time to prepare your home and ensure that you are safe. Clear rain
gutters, remove any debris around your home or in drainage areas, check
your emergency supplies to make sure you have sufficient batteries and that
your flashlights are in working order.

Try to stay off the roads, but if you must travel, ensure that your vehicles are
well-maintained and that tires are properly inflated.

Stay Informed - make sure you're signed up for emergency alerts specific to
LA County

Just In Case of Flooding or Wind/Rain Damage: Have a Plan - Create a plan
specific to your household and gather essential supplies. Having a disaster
supply kit ready and on-hand is an important step towards being ready to
take care of yourself and your loved ones

Keep Supplies - Make sure you always have food and water for up to 7-10
days for yourself and your pets. Keep supplies that are personal to your needs
like medicine and prescriptions, a first aid kit, important documents, cash,
flashlights, generators, portable chargers, etc.

Check with the City regarding the availabilty of sand bags and gravel.

Additional information is available at the LA County sites listed below.
