Wednesday, January 3 A residential burglary and thefts fromtwo vehicles occurred in the 400 block of E. Highland Ave, whichoccurred from Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 9:30 pm to January 3, 2018 at about 9:15 a.m. The suspect(s) entered two unlocked vehicles andremoved numerous items from both vehicles, which included agarage remote. The suspect(s) then used the remote to open andenter a detached garage of a residence. Once in the garage, thesuspect(s) rifled through items, but it appears that no propertywas stolen. Case to Detectives Friday, January 5 At about 3:23 p.m. a victim of vandalismreported that his vehicle was targeted on three separate occasions, from 11/14/2017 at 10:00 p.m. to 01/05/2018 at 12:00 p.m. Thevehicle was struck with raw eggs and had a tire punctured withan unknown object while parked in the 200 block of E. MontecitoAve. Case to Detectives Saturday, January 6 An officer responded to the station lobbyfor a report of fraud. Unknown suspect(s) used the victim'sHome Depot credit card to purchase items online, totaling about$12,000.00. The victim notified Home Depot credit services andwas directed to file a police report due to the amount of moneyused to make the purchases.
