TABLE FOR TWO

By Peter Dills

Cameron’s Seafood

Can you smell the clean Ocean breeze; hear the waves falling on
the sand? Read carefully, for the captain of the ship is bringing in
the freshest catch of the day. Do you remember that old Wives Tale,
or was it my dad who used to say, the closer to the ocean the worst
the seafood is? How can that be? Or another doozy, is never go to a seafood restaurant on
Sunday Night. I have been going to Cameron’s Seafood Restaurant on Colorado as far back
as I can remember. Though I must admit, not until recently did I delve into the menu. I
found myself going to the bar for that San Francisco sourdough bread and the Elmer Dills’
approved Clam Chowder ($7). By the way that is a heck of an endorsement.

For over 25 years, Cameron’s Seafood has been a favorite in Pasadena. Inspired by
the San Francisco fish houses that sit upon the bay, Cameron’s Seafood provides the just-
off- the-boat freshness that every seafood lover is searching
for. So what to order? Just last week, for dinner I started off
with Oysters from Virginia, ($10) and had a most succulent
New Zealand Orange Roughy ($19). Ok Ok. One of my
companions, a meat-eater, had the Baseball steak ($27) that
she swears rivals the best steak in town. Plenty of salads as
well.

A menu fit for King Neptune! Another Bonus is free
parking and I found the service is top notch.
